PNP Book Club

The “Progress Not Perfection” Book Club continues offering life changing gatherings. Beginning Thursdays on July 9, 2026, 6:30p-7:45p CST, we will begin a new exploration. Consider

What if the things you've always thought were "normal" are actually making you unwell?

Our next Progress NOT Perfection book club is diving into The Myth of Normal by Gabor Maté—a thought-provoking exploration of how our culture shapes our physical and emotional health.

Whether you're curious about healing, relationships, stress, trauma, or simply looking to better understand yourself and others, this conversation promises to challenge assumptions and inspire meaningful reflection.

Come with an open mind. Leave with a new perspective.

Join us as we explore what it really means to be "normal." We'd love to have you in the conversation!

Facilitator donations are appreciated.

Wendi Gordon will be our lead facilitator. Wendi is a former pastor who is now a mental and spiritual health writer, speaker, and coach.  Her “Changing Lives” blog/podcast and more information about her services can be found on SubStack.

Safe, Confidential Spaces

Our gatherings are led by people who get it and probably have a t-shirt or two from the trips. We offer a bit more than just a complaint space to dump what has bothered you. We are leaning into the pursuit of hope, joy, and happiness. A very tall order indeed considering the confusing fear led times we find ourselves. One Girl has decided to take the hard road of accountability, authenticity, and agency. Terribly flawed folks here seeking better. Response versus reaction skills and mindfulness training. Like if it is really this bad everywhere, all the time - why not slide into a bit of whimsy and fun? These wonderful virtual groups are facilitated by amazing individuals trained in deep non-judgmental listening. Each space features seasoned facilitators featuring a theme or topic led discussion. One Girl Standing LLC understands the hardships of balancing self-care needs during these times of economic uncertainty. We are moving into a facilitator donation platform for the second year. See our contact page for donation information.

You will be held, heard, and supported in your journey while offering you the benefits of community wisdoms.
